From the Chronicler:
Greetings! I am Duchess Gabrielle van Nijenrode, the chronicler for the Barony of Settmour Swamp. Welcome to the home page of the baronial newsletter, The Mudpuppy! This page is not intended to be an online version of The Mudpuppy. Rather it is to be a display for the beautiful artwork and useful articles created by members of the Barony that have been published in The Mudpuppy.

As a chronicler, I have to constantly search for articles and artwork to include in my newsletter. While I do get submissions from my fellow Swampies, it is often not enough. Realizing that other chroniclers are in the same predicament, I am inviting other chroniclers to re-print these pieces in there own newsletters. All that I ask is that you credit the original author, and provide the author with a copy of the newsletter in which the piece appeared. If the address of the author is not available, please send the newsletter to me, and I will forward it.

There are a number of sources that offer copyright free or "re-printable with permission" clipart and articles useful for SCA newsletters or web pages. They are listed here.

In Service,
Duchess Gabrielle van Nijenrode

 Submission Guidelines
Although The Mudpuppy has worked with many famous artists and writers, we encourage new talent to seek us out. We ask that artists and writers stick to subjects concerning the medieval world or reenactment societies. We cannot pay artists or writers for their work (we are a nonprofit organization), but we will credit work and may even post them in the "best of" section. Submissions can be e-mailed or mailed to Gabrielle Taylor, 49 Cedar Road, Whitehouse Station, NJ, 08889.
